The Aeronautical Meteorological Department (AMD) is under
the leadership of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation(SSCA), with the
guidance of the Minister and Director General of Directorate General for
Operations and Services. In response to the requirements of the International
Civil Aviation Organization and the World Meteorological Organization, the
Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation (SSCA) requires an Aviation Meteorology
Quality and Safety Office to ensure the provision of quality and safe
meteorological information.
On January 3, 2025, officers from the Aviation
Meteorology Quality and Safety Office (QMS) along with experts and
administrative officers from all offices under the Aeronautical Meteorological Department
attended a training course on document management for ISO 9001:2015 quality
system and the principles of planning for effective internal audits, audit
scope, audit evidence, audit criteria, audit methodology, audit objectives, how
to write and content in the audit report, understanding the requirements and
relationships between ISO in each part of (ISO9001:2015 ISO14001:2015
ISO45001:2018). After studying the regulations and procedures for internal
audits, The trainees have been practicing in the inspection of equipment,
locations to be worked on at Techo International Airport and documents that
have been completed in the past at Phnom Penh International Airport. The
training course was successfully completed on Thursday, May 11, 2025, with high
efficiency.
