From February 17 to March 9, 2024, the Aeronautical Meteorological Department (AMD), led by the Director of the Department and accompanied by several technical officers, conducted a study visit and performed a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on the Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) directly at the VAISALA factory in Finland.
At the factory, we studied each individual piece of
equipment, reviewed the technical specifications, and conducted tests on the
operational systems of the devices. The equipment that was examined and tested
during the FAT included:
